Tote and Tee
A little bit of everything – tees, crafty-ness, family and lots of fun!-
December 3rd, 2009Random Crafty-nessOh my gosh, there are just so many fun holiday crafts floating around, I thought I would share some as I stumble across them.

This one I first saw on One Pretty Thing blog. You have to check out that blog…TONS of ideas there!
This Twinkle Pom Pom Ornament from Zakka Life is so stinkin’ cute and looks totally easy to make for all ages.
The ornament pictured is from Zakka Life:) I need to get some supplies and will post pics when I am done.
Have you done any holiday crafting yet?

August 19th, 2009My girls, Random Crafty-nessWe are in LOVE with this new craft. I found it while blog hopping and I instantly knew it would a hit around here. Basically you print out this paper doll (or draw your own if you are handy like that) and lay out glue, markers, scissors, fabric scraps and/or scrapbook papers. Now design your own doll!

The printout and directions were found here on Kiddling.

August 7th, 2009Random Crafty-nessAs most of you know, I took the summer off from Tote and Tee. Enjoyed summer with my girls but guess what…they are back in school! I am ready to get back to business but before I do that I need my work room/studio/sewing room/office/tee shirt capitol of the world…whatever you want to call it ready for me.
I am a craft-a-holic and well, a shop-a-holic too…so this momma has LOTS of crafty stuff. Before I get back to work, I decided to do a complete overhaul of my room to make it a great place to be and for things to be really organized so I can whip those tees out and get them to you super speedy.
So far today I have covered an old bulletin board with delightful fabric (and rick rack!) and then I decided that we need some more color in here! Off to Home Depot I went and came home with a little bit of Candy Apple Red, Aqua, Berry Pink and Apple Green. Watch out world, I have spray paint!
I started with these baskets. The one on the left was part of a delightful gift basket of Godiva that my sweet hubby sent me. Nice basket but that dark brown just does not please me. The little basket is just from the $1 section at Target.

Next, these sweet hanging buckets from Ikea. I bought them a few years ago and while they seemed like a good idea, they ended up being dead space because I put stuff in there and never used it. Basically they were a dust pit. I am going to give them another chance…Amy them up and see what I think.

Here is everything painted…haven’t put them all away yet because I am waiting for the paint to dry. All these colors delight me! I am a little scared about that red basket…need to find a spot for it but I am thinking glossy (that’s all they had) red might be a little much on a sweet little basket.

I plan to put labels on the front of the buckets using black vinyl and my Cricut. (love that Cricut!)
Things I learned…
1. Arizona has the world record for quickest spray paint drying. (esp. when it’s 115)
2. Using an old shower curtain as a drop cloth isn’t the brightest idea. That thing is water proof and even though it’s 115 degrees…it’s not drying! I think they call it drop “cloth” for a reason! Oh well, at least I recycled it before throwing it away, right?
