We are in LOVE with this new craft.  I found it while blog hopping and I instantly knew it would a hit around here.  Basically you print out this paper doll (or draw your own if you are handy like that) and lay out glue, markers, scissors, fabric scraps and/or scrapbook papers.  Now design your own doll!

  1. Oh, we do things like that, although now that I have a Cricut with the first Paper Dolls cartridge, the girls are spoiled. They just pick the scrapbooking paper they want the outfit cut from.

Makingfriends.com also has some cute paper dolls friends to cut out that we made into magnet dolls for a cookie sheet.

  2. That’s a great craft idea! Looks like fun!

  3. Thanks for the tip. I like the fact the dolls are kind of unisex looking, that way my little guy won’t feel left out!

  4. Love that craft! I’m not sure my 4-year-old is good enough with a scissors to cut out her own outfits for the figures, but that just makes it even more of a mom-and-me activity, which is all good. And I LOVE it as a way to use up some of my scraps that are too small to do anything with but I loved the fabric too much to throw them away!!

  5. Very cute! So many things to remember for when my baby girl gets older!

  6. OMGosh!! i love this idea!! my daughter, abby, would love these things! think we’ll make these for our next homeschooling art project!
